We’ve Got Spirit?

While I understand the need to capitalize on hot topic current events in the news, this was a clever yet ill-timed and poorly executed attempt at punny humor in an attempt to drive sales.

The marketing department at Spirit needs to take this one back to the drawing board, although I can’t help wondering if they chuckled amongst themselves when one of the associates put the idea on the table, declared that using it would be “so wrong,” but then proceeded to do it anyway because it’s provocative and will attract traffic to their website.
